The Silver Lining of Reaching a Quarter of a Century

To celebrate my 25th birthday, here are 25 facts about me:

1. Ethnicity: Chinese, 1/8 Vietnamese

2. Horoscope sign: November Scorpio

3. English is my third language. I spoke Cantonese and Vietnamese interchangeably growing up.

4. Education: Lunalilo Elementary, Washington Middle, McKinley High

5. Favorite fruit: Watermelon, Mango, Pineapple

6. Spirit animal: Cat

7. Instruments I learned: Ukulele (4th grade), Flute (5th grade), Violin (6th grade), Piano (College)

8. Hogwarts house: Slytherin

9. High school sport: Tennis

10. Countries I have visited: Vietnam, Korea, Japan, Canada

11. I studied abroad in South Korea on a Cultural Ambassador Scholarship.

12. First part-time job: Retail

13. Drink: Teapresso Milk Tea 50% Sweet with Grass Jelly

14. I cut and donated my hair three times.

15. I graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a Bachelors degree in Psychology. (I also graduated debt free!)

16. During my last year at UH, I worked as a Research Assistant to a Community Psychologist and Professor.

17. Favorite class: Ballet or Piano

18. Fears I overcame: Cats and Dogs, Heights, Stage Fright

19. Color: Pink

20. Food: My Mom’s Homemade Pho

21. I became a Yelp Elite in 2017.

22. I have volunteered with over 30 organizations nationwide.

23. Life motto: “Ask and you shall receive”

24. If I could be a Disney Princess, I would be a combination of Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Ariel.
